Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Sanuj Birla is a self-taught pop artist whose passion for art ignited in childhood. Excelling in art and design during his school years, he transformed his early enthusiasm into a professional career. Specializing in large figurative paintings, Sanuj's work is a dynamic fusion of pop art, realism, and surrealism. He draws inspiration from the cartoon characters, superheroes, and iconic movie figures of the 1980s, crafting compositions that blend elements from movies, comic books, renowned artworks, and real-life landscapes. Over the past nine years, Sanuj has created over 250 artworks, encompassing canvas oil paintings, mixed media art, acrylic pieces, and sculptures. His art has been showcased in solo exhibitions at World Art Dubai (2019, 2021, 2022), Affordable Art Fair Singapore (2019), MAG Exhibition Montreux in Switzerland (2021), Art Expo New York (2022), and Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt (2022). Additionally, he has participated in group shows such as The Bigger Picture (2014), Triptych Parade (2016), and Artinsic (2018, 2019).
