Abhay Sehgal is a contemporary surrealist artist whose work explores identity, memory, and the evolving relationship between Indian heritage and modern life. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Sehgal creates richly layered worlds where Indian mythology, traditional textiles, architecture, cinema, popular culture, and everyday life converge in unexpected ways. His intricate compositions reimagine familiar cultural symbols in contemporary settings, inviting viewers to look beyond the immediate image and discover stories within stories. Through surrealism, Sehgal creates a visual language that moves between heritage and modernity, the familiar and the imagined. His work has been showcased internationally at World Art Dubai and The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn, and is featured in prominent hospitality spaces across New York, Chicago, Mumbai, and Delhi. His creative practice has also included collaborations with YSL Beauté and Prada.
